Overview:

Ranked as one of the best national parks in Asia, Kanha National Park is the largest park in central India located in Madhya Pradesh. The national park has played an active role in preserving endangered animals since the time of its establishment. The park is a popular tiger reserve having a fair population of the Royal Bengal tiger. Apart from the tigers, the park also conserves the rarest species of deer called Barasingha. The unique scenic beauty of the place makes it popular among the tourists and gives the park a rank in Asia. Stretching over an area of 940sqkms the park is divided into two regions- Hallon and Banjar. Apart from the animals, the place is covered by flora and fauna. The national park is also known to the world because of Rudyard Kipling’s ‘The Jungle Book’ based on the Kanha National Park. The place offers jeep safaris throughout the park. So, for some adventurous tour amidst the wildlife, you can always choose this destination.
While taking a tour of the Kanha National Park, you can also visit the ancient industrial city of Jabalpur and take a tour of the city’s Ghats, the Dhaundhar Waterfall, and other splendid destinations.
The picturesque hill town of Pachmarhi is another location that you can visit while you are in Madhya Pradesh. Pachmarhi or the ‘Queen of the Satpura Range’ is the only hill station of the state. The bewitching beauty of the place is bound to astonish you.

Day to Day Travel Slate:

Day1:

You will head for your hotel to check-in as soon as you arrive at Jabalpur Airport or the railway station. After resting for a bit, you will start with your tour around Jabalpur. Your first stop would be on the spectacular banks of River Narmada, known as Marble Rocks. You can enjoy the boating facility the place offers. Your sightseeing will continue with a ropeway activity. You will take a ride on it across the Dhaundhar Waterfalls witnessing its mesmerizing views from the top. Later you will return to your hotel for an overnight stay at Jabalpur.

Day2:

The next day after an early breakfast, you will proceed towards your next stop of the tour at the Kanha National Park (170km, 4Hrs). After arrival, you will check-in to the wildlife resort there to get a proper feel of living amidst the wildlife and close to nature. You will have the rest of the morning and afternoon to yourself to rest and enjoy some delicious lunch. In the evening, you will take a stroll exploring the local areas around the resort. At night you will come back to the resort for dinner and spend the night there.

Day3:

Early in the morning, you will be picked up by a jeep for your jungle safari at the Kanha National Park accompanied by trained naturalists as guides so you can enjoy your encounter with the wildlife to the fullest. After the safari, you will come back to the resort for some savoury breakfast.
Post lunch, later in the afternoon, you will once again resume with your safari spotting some tigers, Barasingha, leopard, wild dog, hyena, and some other animals during the evening safari. Later in the evening, you will come back to the resort for a night stay.

Day4:

The next day you will board an open jeep for your safari through the Flora and Fauna reserve of the Kanha National Park. After the early morning safari, you will come back to the resort for some breakfast and later check out from there and be on the road to Pachmarhi (320kms, 8hrs). This region of Madhya Pradesh is one of the most popular hill stations amongst the tourists for its mesmerizing natural beauty surrounding the place. After arriving at Pachmarhi, you will check-in to a hotel and spend the night there.

Day5:

You will start your day early, have some breakfast, and prepare yourself for day-long sightseeing around Pachmarhi. During the day, you will cover all the popular tourist spots such as the Jatashankar Caves, Mahadev Temple, Gupt Mahadev, Pandava Caves, and the famous sunset point and end the day with some lovely views of the sunset. In the evening you will be back at the hotel for the night.

Day6:

Get ready for yet another exciting day of exploring the pristine hill station of Pachmarhi. You will start your tour for the day with a visit to the Bee Fall, followed by the magnificent Apsara Waterfalls, the sunset points of Dhupgarh and Rajendragiri, and the Reechgarh Cave, the place for bears. At different points during the tour, you will witness the panoramic views of the surrounding hills and valleys of Pachmarhi. After a pleasant day-long trip, you will come back to the hotel for the night.

Day7:

With the last day of the trip, it is time for you to say goodbye to the rolling hills of Pachmarhi. In the morning after breakfast, you will check out from the hotel and be on your way to the Jabalpur Airport or the railway station to return to your abode. On the way, you will en-route and pay a visit to the Ambe Maa Temple and finally head for your ride back home.
