Overview:
Himalayan Treks are a favorite for trekkers and adventurers as the unique and enchanting beauty witnessed is mesmerizing. The Valley of Flowers is one of the most popular and fascinating treks. This National Park is a recognized World Heritage Site by UNESCO and is known for its scenic beauty. This short trek is perfect for beginners, as it doesn’t have a very steep rise. The expedition begins as you start trekking from Auli to Govindghat and reach the campsite of Ghangaria. Govindghat is the passage for the vibrant and colorful Valley of Flowers. As you pave your way amidst the bed of flowers, you will witness the rich and diverse flora and fauna of the region. The spectacular view of the bloomed colorful Alpine Flowers is a truly enchanting sight and is worth all the hard work. The spiritual tour of the Hemkund Sikh Gurudwara and enjoying the rest of the evening sitting by the still waters of the Lake sipping a hot cup of tea is a blissful experience. Although it is strenuous to hike uphill through the rough terrains, this trail along the coniferous forest, majestic mountains, lush green meadows, and meandering lakes will be one of the best adventurous treks of your life.
Day to Day Travel Slate:
Day1:
On your arrival at the Haridwar Railway Station, you will be received by our representatives and transferred to Auli. Auli is a quaint hill station in Uttarakhand that is encapsulated by coniferous forests. With a delightful ride amidst the blissful scenic beauty and traveling alongside the sacred rivers of Ganga and Alaknanda is truly mesmerizing. With your first journey through the twisting adventurous roads, you will come across the towns of Rishikesh, Devprayag, and Rudraprayag to reach Auli. You can spend the rest of your day at leisure, and overnight stay will be in a resort.
Day2:
Today, with an early morning trek, you will proceed towards Govindghat. Govindghat acts as the gateway to the Valley of Flowers with a moderate trekking experience. You will start by crossing the bridge over the sacred Alaknanda River and then head towards the Bhyundar Valley. It is a beautiful place and has a unique sight amidst the wildflowers all around. The ecstatic beauty of this trail that advances amidst the dense forests, local villages, gurgling waterfalls, and panoramic landscapes leaves one speechless. After trekking for around 4 to 5 hours and covering a distance of 11 km, you will finally reach Ghangaria, your destination for the day. Overnight stay will be in camps in the lap of Nature.
Day3:
After a light breakfast, you will shortly ascent amidst the modest gradient and extensive landscape to finally reach the much-awaited Valley of Flowers in a matter of 2 hours. The Valley of Flowers is a breathtaking and hypnotic place where with every step, you will land on a bed of Flowers. The extraordinary sight of the lush green meadows filled with colorful and blooming alpine flowers and the majestic mountains leaning over the landscape is an extraordinary view that trekkers and travelers dream of witnessing. This place houses varied species of flora and fauna and also some rare and endangered animals like Asiatic Black Bear, Musk Deer, Snow Leopards, etc. While entering the valley, you will notice the mighty snowcapped Ratban Parvat Peak. And as you explore further, you will see that towards the right is a murky Birch Forest, and to the left stands the Nar Parvat. You will spend the next 3-4 hours in the fascinating Valley of Flowers before returning to the camp at Ghangaria for overnight stay.
Day4:
Today you will hike uphill for 3 to 4 hours, to the Hemkund Sahib with a steep rise in a few places. Hemkund Sahib is a shrine that is commemorated to the Sikhs and is quite a famous spot for devotees who come to visit the holy Gurudwara, from all over the country. This Shrine is situated just beside a spectacular clear water lake, which is enveloped by vibrant wildflowers, especially the Brahmkamals. You can just sit for a while and savor the serene ambiance with a hot cup of tea served at the Gurudwara. After that, you can go to visit the Laxman Mandir that is located just beside the Gurudwara and offer your prayers. After the spiritual day, you will retreat to Ghangaria for an overnight stay under the starry sky in the camps.
Day5:
Today, you will retreat to Govindghat. You will spend some blissful moments by the meandering Alaknanda River, and as you relax your sore muscles sitting on the banks, you can enjoy observing the magnificent Neelkanth Peak adding to the dazzling scenery. The clean pollution-free air far from the cities along with the Sulfur Pools, whose waters have medicinal benefits, acts as the perfect ending to this strenuous and adventurous trek. In the evening, you will proceed towards your lodge to take a shower and have a delicious meal. Overnight stay will be in the resort.
Day6:
After breakfast today, you will ride for a few hours to reach Haridwar. As your trip comes to an end, you will get ready to leave for your hometown with a camera full of vibrant pictures and a heart full of memories.
