The Himalayas running side by side throughout your journey is truly enchanting. The mesmerizing views of the Dal Lake in Srinagar, the ecstatic visit to Drass, the breathtaking view of Lamayuru, the beautiful Pangong Lake, and the thrilling camel ride through Nubra Valley will be some of the best moments for you to cherish forever. Without a doubt, this trip will be the most adventurous and exciting road trip of your life.

Day to Day Travel Slate:

Day 1:

On your arrival at Srinagar, you will be welcomed by our representative. After that, we will drive you to Sonamarg. It is a small hill station which is 80 km north-east of Srinagar. Once you reach Sonamarg you will be transferred to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 2:

Today, after a delicious breakfast, we will leave for Kargil via Zoji La. As we leave Srinagar and drive through Zoji La Pass, we come across the popular tourist spot Drass, which is the second coldest inhabited place in the world. Our final destination of the day, Kargil, is the historical location of the battleground of the Kargil War in 1999. We will reach Kargil by evening, where you can enjoy the scenic beauty, sitting on the banks of Suru River, or exploring the local markets of Kargil.

Day 3:

After a good breakfast, we will drive to Padam. It is the only administrative town center in Zanskar. On the way to Padam, we will visit Panikhar and Parkachick. Panikhar is a beautiful destination, 75 km from Kargil. And from the Parkachick La, one can enjoy the fantasticview of the glacier and that of the Nun-Kun mountains. We will reach Padam by the evening for the overnight stay.

Day 4:

Today, we will go for local sightseeing at Padam. Padam has become a popular hub for trekking and rafting expeditions. It is famous for some of the ancient Monasteries like Karsha and Stongdey located there.

Day 5:

Today, after breakfast, we will drive back to Kargil.

Day 6:

After Breakfast, today, we will drive to Leh via Lamayuru. It is a pleasant drive as you will get to see plenty of attractions on the way. You will get to see the Dha-Hanu village where the last of the Indo-Aryans reside. You can also see the incredible confluence of the Zanskar and Indus River and come across the Alchi village situated on a lowland by the Indus River.

Day 7:

After a delicious breakfast, we will drive for the local trip. Our first destination for the day will be Hemis, which is well known for the Hemis Monastery. The next stop will be the famous ThikseyMonastery, a place of pilgrimage that is known for its historic architecture. After that, you will visit the Shey Palace that gives a far-reaching extraordinary view from its complex. Next, we will be visiting the Spituk Monastery, where every year, the Spituk Festival is celebrated by the Gelukpa order of monks. After that, we will leave for The Hall of Fame, which is a museum built by our Indian Army to honor the soldiers who sacrificed their lives defending the country. The last two destinations for the day would be Leh Palace & Shanti Stupa. Leh Palace, also known as ‘LhachenPalkhar,’ is one of the biggest tourist attractions and gives a stunning view of the mountain ranges. The Shanti Stupa is a whitish dome-shaped structure, that looks spectacular when illuminated at night, and providesa panoramic view of the sunrise and sunset. After visiting the Shanti Stupa, you will return to your hotels for an overnight stay.

Day 8:

After breakfast, today, we will drive to Nubra Valley, which lies in the north, via Khardung La. Khardung La is the highest motorable road in the world (18,380ft). On reaching Nubra Valley, you can find a spot to set up a camp near the Turtuk Village. It is not a very popular village, but it has a wonderful history. This village is still untouched by Industrial life. You can enjoy spending the night underneath the starlit sky in a tent, in theTurtuk Village.

Day 9:

After breakfast, drive to Hunder, which is one of the best campsites in Ladakh. It is a small village where the Shyok River meets the Nubra River. You will also get to see the Hunder Monastery there. In the afternoon, you can enjoy the famous Bactrian Camel Rides in the dunes. After that, you can set up a camp near the Hunder Sand Dunes and enjoy it stretching as far as eyes could see. For the night, you will stay in a tent at the Hunder village.

Day 10:

After breakfast, we will drive to Pangong Lake through the Shyok Road. Pangong lake is situated at theheight of 14,270 ft and is the highest saltwater lake in the world. Its beauty is so mesmerizing that you can spend the entire day and still want for more. This lake acting as a corridor between India and China runs for almost 160kms. It is known to appear in different colors during different times of the day. The starry night and the sunrise at dawn will be the most enthralling experience during this trip. Your overnight stay here will be in a tent.

Day 11:

We will start our day with a delicious breakfast and leave for Hanle. It is a small village located in the Hanle River Valley and gives you an amazing and enchanting aerial view. The Hanle Monastery is located there, and it is also the center of Hanle Observatory, one of the highest sites for Astronomical Observations. On your way to Hanle, you will come across the small villages of Chushul and Nyoma. (Homestay) in Hanle.

Day 12:

Soon after breakfast, we will drive to Tso-Moriri via the Mahi bridge. Another ecstatic beauty of Ladakh is Tso- Moriri.  This high altitude lake located in the Changthang region of Ladakh has clear blue water and reflects the white clouds, painting a divine picture of Nature’s Beauty. Various migratory birds also visit this place, and it’s a delight for Bird watchers. Overnight stay will be in a tent in Tso-Moriri.

Day 13:

After breakfast, drive to Keylong via Pang. Keylong is a small town, in the Lahaul and Spiti Districts of Himachal Pradesh, and falls on the Leh-Manali Highway. It is a major halt between Himachal Pradesh and Ladakh. Keylong is also near the Kardang Monastery, which is the largest monastery in Lahaul. Overnight stay at Keylong.

Day 14:

After breakfast, today we will leave for the last destination of our Srinagar-Manali Trip. We will drive to Manali. Manali is a resort town cradled in between the mountains of Himachal Pradesh and Ladakh. It is a popular gateway spot for all adventurous activities like skiing, trekking, paragliding, rafting, and mountaineering. The Mall Road and its Bazaar are the town’s attractions for tourists. The Hindu Manu Temple and the Hadimba Devi Temple are some of the traditional sacred places where you can enjoy its calm and blissful ambiance. The local culture is well preserved in the Museum of Himachal Culture and Folk Art. You will spend the night in Manali.

Day 15:

As the 15 days long trip comes to an end, you can’t help but want for more. And as you head towards your home, you will take back with you all your memories and a camera full of pictures with everything that tourists desire for.
