Day to Day Travel Slate:
Day1:Kandy (125 km, 4 Hrs)
Kandy is a 4hrs (125kms) drive from the Colombo Bandaranaike International Airport. After arriving at the airport, you will be greeted by your tour guide, and from there, straight away head over to Kandy. On your way, you will stop to visit the Pinnawala Elephant orphanage.
Declared as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, Kandy is a historical city where the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic is located. You will go and visit the popular temple. Later, check-in to a premium hotel at Kandy. Have the rest of the free, and in the evening, enjoy a cultural dance program. Stay the night in Kandy.
Day2:Nuwara Eliya (80 km, 2.5 Hrs)
The next morning after breakfast, check-out from the hotel and go over to the next destination, Nuwara Eliya. On your way, make stops at the Botanical Garden, Ramboda Waterfall, and Hanuman Temple. After the en-route visits, reach Nuwara Eliya.
The famous tea producing hill town of Nuwara Eliya is the “Little England” of Srilanka. The place has an amusing scenic beauty with lakes, gardens, hills, and a cold climate.
Check-in to a hotel and stay the night in Nuwara Eliya.
Day3:Bentota (230 km, 6 hrs)
After breakfast, you will leave Nuwara Eliya and proceed to Bentota. It is a long 6hrs drive.
The beach town of Bentota is the absolute contrast toNuwara Eliya. You will come down to the seashore from the cold hill station and enjoy the sunbath on Bentota’s beach. While you are there, indulge in some fish therapy.
Check-in to a hotel, have dinner and stay overnight at Bentota.
Day4:Mirissa (100 km, 2 Hrs)
Today, you will head out of Bentota and go to Mirissa.
The town of Mirissa is located on the seashore. A shiningcity with a clear blue sea, aquatic life, palm trees, and fun-filled water sport activities.
After arriving at Mirissa, check-in to a hotel and go out to the beach to do some snorkelling, surfing,etc.; later, come back to the hotel, relax and stay the night in Mirissa.
Day5:Mirissa
Next morning, get ready for some Whale watching early in the morning. Leave the hotel at 5am for Mirissa Harbour and depart from there around 6.30 am. Spend the entire morning on the boat spotting various kinds of whales with experienced crew members’ help. You will also have passenger insurance and GPS for your safety.
Later, in the evening, come back to the hotel and rest for the day. Stay overnight in Mirissa.
Day6:Colombo (150 Km, 3.5 Hrs)
In the morning, head for the last stop of your vacation. On arrival, check-in to a hotel.
Colombo is the heart of the country. In Srilanka’s capital city, you can visit important buildings, such as the Parliament houses, museums from the Dutch period, and Colombo National Museum. You will also take a tour of the Gangarama Buddhist Temple, Town Hall, Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall, Kelaniya Raja Maha Vihara, Mount Lavinia Beach, Viharamadevi Park, and Independence Square.
In the evening, indulge in some shopping at the popular malls, markets of Colombo such as Odel, House of Fashion, Beverly Street, Majestic City,and Norilate. Later, return to the hotel for an overnight stay at Colombo.
Day7:
On the last day of your trip, have breakfast and be at the hotel. So last-minute packing and leave for the airport. Aboard the flight back home with fond memories of the vacation.
