A 9-day getaway to this beautiful town is charming and excellent all around the year. The lush green valley becomes a wonderland draped in the snow in winters. Your trip will take you to the nearby town of Kufri, which is always enveloped in snow and has the highest cricket ground in the world. Even the meandering rivers of Sutlej, Tapri, and Baspa have their charms for the tourist. Blessed with beauty and serenity of the mountain range and the appeal of the valley, the Kinner Kailash Range will be one of the most beautiful destinations on this trip. As you cruise through this adventure, you will find yourself falling in love with nature over and over again.

Day to Day Travel Slate:

Day 1:

Flight from Kolkata to Chandigarh airport/station. From there, as your journey begins, you will be transferred to Shimla. The trip from Chandigarh to Shimla is just as beautiful as the destination, filled with breathtaking landscapes and lush greenery. After arrival, check-in at the hotel. You will have the evening at your leisure after a visit to the famous Kalibari temple in Shimla.

Day 2:

After a scrumptious breakfast, your day will begin with sightseeing at Kufri and Fagu. Famous for its natural parks and beautiful orchards, Kufri gives you a panoramic view of the snow-capped mountain peaks. Return to the hotel in the evening.

Day3:

Your day will begin with an early morning breakfast. After that, you will start for a small beautiful town called Sarahan, situated 7055ft high. Flanked on the banks of the Sutlej River, Sarahan is a small town soaked in nature’s beauty. Bhimakali temple is one of the most alluring tourist spots in the city. This ornate architecture marvel with a blend of the Hindu and Buddhist style of architecture will be your destination in the evening. Your last visit for the day will be Bushar Raj palace, named Padam palace.

Day 4:

After breakfast, you will start early morning for Sangla. The road snakes around the banks of the river Sutlej and Tapri and will bring you to the Baspa valley. The city itself is built on a slope with picturesque mountains as the backdrop. After arrival, you will check-in at the hotel. After some rest, you will visit the Kamru fort. Within the arena of the fort, you will also get to visit the Badrinath temple, made up of wood in a beautiful architecture that is only native to Sangla. After enjoying among the lush green orchards and the magnificent fort, return to the hotel.

Day 5:

Your plan for the day will be to visit the last village of India in the Baspa valley, Chitkul. Nature here is at its most beautiful, and the valley looks serene. There are three temples of interest; one said to have been built 500 years ago. On the way to Chitkul, you will get a chance to visit the government-run Trout farm, famous for its fishes. For a fish lover, it will be a perfect opportunity to enjoy some fresh trout. The journey will provide you with a mesmerizing view of snow-capped Himalayas. Night stay at Sangla.

Day 6:

You will leave for the town of Kalpa. Kalpa, with its history of ancient temples, is also famous for apple orchards. Your journey will be via ReckongPeo. The journey is one painted scenic routes and breathtaking landscapes. After your arrival, you will check-in at the hotel. Your day will be spent visiting ancient Buddhist monasteries and other Hindu temples in the oldest village of Roghi. Night stay at Kalpa.

Day 7:

Relax and enjoy the magnificent Kinnar Kailash Range. As per mythologies, it is believed that Kinner Kailash Range of Himalayas is the winter home of Lord Shiva. It is also most famous for the most unobstructed view of the Shivalinga peak throughout the day.

Day8:

You will have an early morning start for Kharapathar. Fruit-laden orchards cradled by thick woods form the majority of this small serene town. You can also pay a visit to the river Giri Ganga and its source in Kharapathar.

Day9:

Return to Chandigarh. Your journey home will have you will be filled with beautiful memories of snow-capped mountains and meandering rivers.
