Day to Day Travel Slate
Day1:
Upon your arrival at Puri railway station, you will be transferred to the hotel. After some rest and leisure, you will visit the famous Jagannath temple. Famous worldwide for its annual Rath-Yatra, the temple is one of the most important Hindu pilgrimage places and hence will be a must-visit for you. You will spend the rest of the day walking down the gorgeous Puri beach and the local shops. Your night stay will be at Puri.
Day2:
After an early morning scrumptious breakfast at the hotel, your day will begin with a visit to the famous Sun Temple, Konark. Renownedfor its architectural beauty and the rich culture and heritage, Konark remains one of the most sought out tourist destinations in India. The 700 years old Sun Temple, built during the Ganga dynasty, is considered an architectural marvel and is a UNESCO World Heritage site. After you visit the sun temple, you will revive your energy at the gorgeous Ramachandi and Chandrabhaga beaches and find yourself engaged in thrilling water adventures. Later in the day, your next visit will be to the Raghurajpur artist village, which is world-famous for “Pata Chitra.” You will then return to the hotel and spend the rest of the evening at your leisure. Your night stay will be at Puri.
Day3:
You will next proceed towards Bhubaneswar to explore the Historical Caves of the Khandagiri and Udayagiri Hills. Situated some kilometres away from the city, the twin caves are ornately carved and thought to have been chiselled out for Jain ascetics in the 1st century BC. The Khandgiri caves house a fine temple and give a fine view of the Bhubhaneshwar city line from its summit. You will later visit the famous National Park, Nandankanan. The literal translation of the name means the “Garden of Pleasure” and is undoubted one of the most picturesque parks of India. The Park, which is also a host of white tigers, will bring you a splendid opportunity of discovering the wonderfully unique flora and fauna flourishing in their most natural habitat. You will then return to the hotel for the night stay.
Day4:
After starting your morning with a scrumptious breakfast at the hotel, you will proceed towards Satpada. This part of Chilika Lake is famous for its housing, the endangered Irrawaddy Dolphins. Satpada during the winter is a wonderful paradise for bird watchers as thousands of migratory birds flock the lake. You will next visit the serene Rajhans Island, which offers a scenic setting filled with tranquillity and will charm you for sure. Your night stay will be at Puri.
Day5:
You will check-out from the hotel and proceed towards the Puri railway station or Bhubaneswar for your return journey. These adventures will remain a fond memory and an incentive for your next visit, until next time.
