Day to Day Travel Slate:
Day1:
Flight from Kolkata to Delhi. Your flight will make a layover in Delhi, where our representatives will receive you. You will go on an evening walk through the streets of Old Delhi, where you can tantalize your taste buds with the fantasticfoods of Chandni Chowk. You will spend the night in Delhi.
Day2:
Today, you will fly from Delhi to Leh. On your arrival at Leh airport, you will be received and transferred to your hotel. Overnight stay at Leh.
Day3:
After breakfast, we will drive to Pangong Lake through the Shyok Road. Pangong lake is situated at theheight of 14,270 ft and is the highest saltwater lake in the world. Its beauty is so mesmerizing that you can spend the entire day soaked into it. This lake acts as an aisle between India and China and runs for almost 160kms. Its changing colors during different times of the day is a wonderful view to be witnessed. The starry night and the sunrise at dawn arebreathtaking. You will spend the night there.
Day4:
Today, after an excellent breakfast, we will leave for Leh via Chang-La. Chang-La is a high mountain pass and the third highest motorable road. It is located near the border of China and is covered with snow all year. It is known for its high altitude and fascinating beauty. With this incredible journey through Chang-La, you will be back to Leh for the overnight stay.
Day5:
After breakfast, today, we will drive to Nubra Valley that lies in the north via Khardung La, which is the highest motorable road in the world (18,380ft). The Nubra Valley is one of the best campsites in Ladakh. Its long stretched dunes and Bactrian camels are very popular. With the highest battlefield in the world, Siachen Glacier at 98.7 km north, Nubra Valley provides some stunning views. The camel safari in Hunder is also one of the popular activities in Nubra Valley.
Day6:
After breakfast, today we will drive from Nubra Valley to the Turtuk Village. It is not a very popular village but it has a wonderful history. This village is still untouched by Industrial life. You can enjoy spending your time amidst the enthralling landscape and indigenous culture. The apricot trees add to its beauty. You can walk along the paths, learning about their culture while talking to the local inhabitants. After a satisfying day, you will return to Nubra Valley for an overnight stay.
Day7:
Today, after breakfast, you will again leave for Leh. You will drive back along Khardung La while enjoying the spectacular views of the twisting roads up the mountains and down the valleys. And in no time you will be back to Leh for your overnight stay.
Day8:
After a delicious breakfast, we will drive for the local trip. Our first destination for the day will be Hemis, which is famous for the Hemis Monastery.The next stop will bethe famous ThikseyMonastery, a place of pilgrimage that is known for its historic architecture. After that, you will visit the Shey Palace that gives a far-reaching extraordinary view from its complex.You will also come across the Alchi village situated on a lowland by the Indus River. The Alchi Monastery is conveniently situated in this village.The last two destinations for the day would be Leh Palace & Shanti Stupa. Leh Palace, also known as ‘LhachenPalkhar,’ is one of the biggest tourist attractions and gives a stunning view of the mountain ranges. The Shanti Stupa is a whitish dome-shaped structure, that looks spectacular when illuminated at night, and providesa panoramic view of the sunrise and sunset. After visiting the Shanti Stupa, you will return to your hotels for an overnight stay.
Day9:
With the trip coming to an end, You will prepare yourself to leave for Leh Airport and to fly back home to Kolkata via Delhi. With lots of memories and pictures captured, you will take back with you one of the best experiences of your life.
