Overview:

Leh-Ladakh is a dreamland and one of the best tourist spots for adventure lovers, travelers, or explorers. It is the famous cold desert of India and is surrounded by the Great Himalayas, the Magnificent Karakoram Range, and the Zanskar mountains. One of the most important rivers that pass through Ladakh is the Indus River. These rivers form the beautiful and gorgeous Valleys. Ladakh is sited on such a high altitude that it is freezing almost throughout the year. The temperature fluctuations are extremely high, and even during a summer day, the temperature is barely above zero degrees. But despite the harsh weather, its snowy capped mountains, deep clear lakes, colourful landscapes, ecstatic valleys, and ancient old monasteries around the small traditional villages are the reason that draws tourists to have one of the best holidaying experiences.

Day to Day Travel Slate:

Day1:

Flight from Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport, Kolkata to Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport, Leh via Delhi (1661 KMS). On arrival, you will be welcomed by our representatives and transferred to the hotel in Leh by car.

Day2:

After a delicious breakfast, we will drive for the Leh local Sightseeing. This trip mainly consists of the ancient and renowned monasteries, and you can enjoy their cultural and architectural magnificence. First, we will visit Hemis, which is well known for the Hemis Monastery located there. After that, we will leave for The Hall of Fame, which is a museum built by our Indian Army to honour the soldiers who sacrificed their lives defending the country. Then you will visit the Shanti Stupa, which is a very popular spot with a serene and calm ambiance. The Shanti Stupa is a whitish dome-shaped structure, that looks spectacular when illuminated at night. It is surrounded by traditional houses and snowy mountains, giving a panoramic view of the sunrise and sunset. After visiting the Shanti Stupa, we will take you for a visit to the local market by car. And later, you will return to your hotels for an overnight stay.

Day3:

After breakfast, we will check out from the hotel and leave for Nubra Valley. We will travel to Nubra via Khardung La Pass, which is the highest motorable road in the world (18,380ft). The Nubra Valley is one of the famoustourist spots with its long-stretched dunes and Bactrian camel rides. Siachen Glacier, the highest battlefield in the world, at 98.7 km north of Nubra Valley, provides some stunning views. The camel safari in Hunder is also one of the popular activities in Nubra Valley. Overnight stay at Nubra.

Day4:

Today, after breakfast, you will check out from the hotel and head for Leh. You will drive back along Khardung La while enjoying the spectacular views of the twisting and turning of roads along the mountains and valleys. And in no time you will be back to Leh for your overnight stay.

Day5:

Today, after breakfast, we will check out from the hotel and leave for Pangong Lake via Chang-La. Chang-La is a high, mountain pass, and the third highest motorable road. Whereas, Pangong Lake is situated at theheight of 14,270 ft and is the highest saltwater lake in the world. Its breathtaking views will entice you to spend the entire day there. This lakeis popular because it appears in different shades during different times of the day. The sky full of stars at night and the sunrise at dawn will be one of your best experiences during this trip. You will spend the night at Pangong Lake.

Day6:

Today, we will be going back to Leh from Pangong. After breakfast, we will check out from the hotel and travel along with Chang- La again. Being a high-level mountainpass, it is covered with snow all year. It is known for its high altitude and fascinating beauty. With this incredible journey through Chang-La, you will be back to Leh in no time. You will spend the rest of the night at Leh.

Day7:

After your breakfast, we will drive for Tso-Kar today. It is almost a 4 hours journey. Tso-Kar Lake is a salt lake located at Rapshu, which is situated in the southern part of Ladakh. It is popular for its size and depth and, it has extreme fluctuating weather conditions during the day as well as summers and winters. Overnight stay at Tso-Kar.

Day8:

After a delicious breakfast, we will check out from the hotel and head back to Leh again, where we will spend the night.

Day9:

We will start our journey to Tso-Moriri Lake early in the morning after breakfast. ‘It’s a 220 km journey and takes approximately 5 hours to reach. En-route visit Chumathang village, which is famous for its hot springs. We will also visit Sumdah village on the way and continue driving to Tso-Moriri Lake. Tso-Moriri is said to be the spot of visit for various species of migratory birds. The sunset at Tso- Moriri is something that shouldn’t be forgotten. After that, overnight stay at Tso-Moriri Lake.

Day10:

Today, we will travel back to Leh. On the way, the color-changing landscapes and its panoramic views will be your companion. And with this beautiful ride, you will be back to your last destination of this trip. You will spend the night in your hotel in Leh.

Day11:

Our destination for the day will be Uleytokpo, which takes 2 hours to reach from Leh. Soon after breakfast, we will check out and be on our way. Uleytokpo is one of the best Trekking bases and campsite in Ladakh. Excursions amidst the snowy mountains are once in a lifetime experience. This area also falls in the Lamayuru village, where you will visit the Lamayuru monastery. The visitors often sit to meditate in a calm atmosphere there. Lamayuru, also known as the ‘Moonland of ‘Ladakh’is famousfor its ecstatic lunar landscapes. You will stay overnight at Uleytokpo.

Day12:

Today, after breakfast, you will leave for Alchi and its excursions. The Alchi village is conveniently located on a lowland by the Indus River. The astounding Alchi Monastery, located in this village, is the oldest and most famous Monastery of this area. The very intricately carved structures out of the rocks are believed to be the oldest surviving in Ladakh. After a delightful excursion, you will be back atyour hotel at Leh for the night.

Day13:

Today will be reserved for the excursions in the Indus Valley. The Indus Valley is built with small villages and ancient historical Monasteries. Its stunning landscapes and magnificent mountains make this excursion worthwhile. After the satisfying journeythrough the Indus Valley, you will be back at Leh for an overnight stay.

Day14:

‘Today’s trip will mainly cover the famous, traditional, and architectural monasteries of Leh. The first stop will be the famousThiksey Monastery, which is well known for its historic architecture. After that, you will visit the Shey Monastery or the Shey Palace, which is an ancient structure located on a reclusive hillock and gives a far-reaching extraordinary view. Next, we will be visiting the Spituk Monastery, where every year, the Spituk Festival is celebrated by the Gelukpa order of monks. You can enjoy this sacred place, along with the serene view of the Indus River. After that, we will leave for The Hall of Fame, which is a museum built by our Indian Army to honor the soldiers who sacrificed their lives defending our country. With this, our trip will come to an end, and you will return to your hotels for the last stay at Leh.

Day15:

With a joyful heart, a lot of fun and experience, and a camera full of memories, you will fly back to Kolkata via Delhi.
