Overview:
In this trip of 10 days, you will visit some of the most exotic and best destinations of Kumaon. Kumaon is located in the North Indian state of Uttarakhand and is quite famous among travelers. From enjoying amidst the scenic beauty of the Apple Orchards and Tea Gardens to visiting the different viewpoints and witnessing the majestic views of the snow-capped peaks, this trip has so much more to offer. The enriching flora and fauna, along with the culture and heritage of the destinations,will make this journey a memorable one. Sightseeing at every location and the journey along Nainital, Ranikhet, Kausani, Chaukori, Munsyari, Binsar, and Almora will give you one of the best holidaying experiences.
Day to Day Travel Slate:
Day1:
On your arrival at Kathgodam Railway Station or Delhi Airport, you will be transferred to Nainital. Nainital is a very popular destination located at the foothills of Kumaon. The charm and beauty of this place attract visitors from across the globe. After check-in at the hotel, you will go for boating at the Nainilake. You can spend your evening shopping at Mall Road. Overnight stay at Nainital.
Day2:
After breakfast, we will visit Snow-View Point by cable-car. It is one of the most popular viewpoints in Nainital and offers a magnificent view of the mighty Himalayas along with mountains like Nanda Devi, Trishul, and Nanda Kot. The Mall Road, which passes through the city, connects the two main ends Mallital and Tallital. We will then visit Sattal, which has seven interconnected freshwater lakes, where varied species of migratory birds can be observed. Our next spot will be Naukuchiatal, which is a small hill station and is known as a “Lake of Nine Corners.” After that, we will be visiting Bhimtal, which is a lake city that is quite famous among travelers. Our last destination for the day will be Bhimeswara Temple. This temple is said to be built by the favoriteMahabharata character Bheem in the devotion to Lord Shiva. After the historical tour, you will return to your hotel for an overnight stay at Nainital.
Day3:
Today you will be transferred to Ranikhet, which is 46 Km journey for 1.5 hours. It is the headquarter of the Kumaon Regiment and is a very well-planned city. One can buy good quality woolen garments here. On the way, you will visit the UpatGolf Course, which is a nine-hole golf course and one of the highest in Asia. It is surrounded by tall Pine trees and has well-manicured green grass. The Apple Orchards at Choubatiaand Jhula Devi Mandir are some other destinations that you will come across on this journey. The Choubatia Garden is a natural hub and a charming place to enjoy the blissful ambiance. The Jhula Devi Mandir is an ancient temple which is visited by the devotees to offer their prayers. On reaching Ranikhet, you will check-in to the hotel and relax. Night stay at Ranikhet.
Day4:
Transfer to Kausani after a 60 Km drive. Kausani is a hill station that is famous for its broad view of Himalayan ranges. Some of the well-known mountain peaks like Choukhamba, Kamet, Nanda ghunti, Trishul, Maiktoli, Nandadevi, and Panchachulli can be viewed from here. The visit to Gandhi Ashram will be a peaceful and learning experience. The Tea garden at Pinglacot will be our next destination, from where you can buy good quality green tea, white honey, Jam, Apricot Oil, and various organic products. Overnight stay at Kausani.
Day5:
Today, after breakfast, we will leave for a 3 hours journey to Chaukori. It is called the mountain gallery of Kumaon as peaks like Nandadevi, Trishul, Choukhamba, Panchachulli areclearly seen from this viewpoint. We will also travel to Kotmania, which is just 3 Km away from Chaukori, to visit the Musk Deer Research Centre. On the way we will come across the Ashram of Saralaben and a few Tea Gardens at Berinag, that falls under the Pithoragarh district. Overnight stay at Chaukori.
Day6:
Today, you will be transferred to Munsyari,which will be a 100 Km long journey for 4 hours. This is a small serene destination that is encapsulated by snowy peaks of the Himalayas like Nandadevi, Nandakot, Rajarambha, and Panchachulli. On reaching, you will relax, and the night stay will be at Munsyari.
Day7:
After early morning breakfast, you will start your day by visiting Nandadevi Temple. Our next destination will be the Tribal Museum, which is well preserved with the history of the place and its people. We will next visit Darakot, for buying Winter garments made of Rabbit hair. Our last destination for the day will be Madkot Village, where the famous medicinal hot springs are found. After that, you will come back to the hotel and Relax. Night stay at Munsyari.
Day8:
You will head towards Binsar with a 185 Km journey today. The Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary, which surrounds this place is home to many rare animals, birds, butterflies, and flowers. Situated at an altitude of 2,420 meters, it offers ecstatic views of the majestic Himalayan peaks such as Nandadevi, Nandakot, Choukhamba, Panchachulli, and Kedarnath. Binsar Zero point, our final stop, is a beautiful viewpoint from where you can witness the 360-degree view of the Himalayan Range. Overnight stay at Binsar.
Day9:
Today, we will transfer to Almora, which will be a 25 Km journey for 1.5 hours. Almora is famous for its alluring beauty, and you can enjoy the panoramic view of the Himalayan ranges. It is situated on a three-mile-long ridge surrounded by the hills ranges. It is a city filled with a rich cultural heritage. You can buy some handicrafts from the local markets in the evening. After the trip, you can relax and the night stay will be at Almora.
Day10:
With your extraordinary trip and a beautiful experience coming to an end, you will be transferred to Kathgodam or Delhi for your return journey.
