With its rich culture and old heritage, Haridwar becomes the perfect destination marking the first spot in your spiritual journey. Next, the journey will take you to the river Yamuna’s birth place, where you will have unique opportunities to glimpse into nature. With all of these adventures afoot, this getaway wants you ready for a wonderful experience in touring the Char Dhams.

Day to Day Travel Slate:

Day1:

After your arrival at Haridwar, you will be transferred to check-in at the hotel. Haridwar serves as the Gateway to the Char Dhams of Uttarakhand and will mark the beginning of your journey of spiritual exploration. From here, you will go for a visit to Rishikesh. Often claimed as the `Yoga Capital of the World’, Rishikesh is a beautiful town surrounded by the lush green hills and the river Ganges. In the evening, you will attend the beautiful Ganga Aarti. Your overnight stay will be at Haridwar.

Day2:

Next morning, you will be transferred to Barkot. Located in the higher Himalayan range, at theheight of 1220 meters above sea level, Barkot, is a beautiful tourist destination. From here, you will pay a visit to Yamunotri.Surrounded by hills and located at theheight of 3293 meters above sea level, Yamunotri is the birthplace of the river Ganga and will provide with you a tranquil glimpse into nature. Your overnight stay will be at Barkot.

Day3:

After an early breakfast, you will be transferred to Hanuman Chatti. Known as a popular trekking spot, the riverside town of Hanuman Chatti would be a delight to the adventurous nature lover in you. From here, you will travel to Janaki Chatti by Jeep. Flushed with ample hot springs, and surrounded with beautiful mountains, Janaki Chatti is a popular destination of spiritual tourism. From here, you will proceed towards Yamunotri Temple on foot. Your walk will take you through lush green forests, snow-capped mountains, and awe-inspiring rivers. At the Janaki Chatti temple, after attending the beautiful puja ceremony, you will leave for Barkot. Your overnight stay will be at Barkot.

Day4:

Next morning, you will travel to Uttarkashi and check-in at the hotel. Often called Devbhumi, or ‘Land of the Gods’, Uttarkashi is an important tourist destination. Here, you will pay a visit to the famous Lord Vishwanath temple and offer your prayers. You will also have an option to pay a visit to NIMS (Nehru Institute of Mountaineering). Your overnight stay will be at Uttarkashi.

Day5:

After breakfast, you will proceed towards Gangotri. On your way to Gangotri, you will make a little stopover at Harsil. Harsil is a quaint little hidden hamlet in the state of Uttarakhand. Away from the hustle-bustle of the usual crowd of tourist destinations, you will find utter peace and serenity in this spot. Gangotri holds a special significance in the Hindu mythologies with its mythical history dating back to the early centuries, according to the Puranas, when Goddess Ganga transformed herself into a river to dissolve the sins of King Bhagirath’s forefathers. You will partake in the rituals and arti’s that are performed for Ganga and feel one with nature. You will take a holy dip in the Ganges and offer your prayers. In the evening, you will return to Uttarkashi and have an overnight stay.

Day6:

Next morning, you will be transferred to Rampur. With its gorgeous scenery and view of the mountains, Rampur will be the perfect stopover on your way to Kedarnath. Here, after your arrival, you will check-in at the hotel. You will have the evening to spend at your leisure. Your overnight stay will be at Rampur.

Day7: 

Next day, your journey will begin very early at 4:00 am. Due to the longevity of the trip, you will be advised to carry dry foods and water. From here, you will proceed towards Sonprayag and then to Guarikund. Situated at the confluence of two holy rivers Basuki and Mandakini, Sonprayag is a spot of high religious importance. The next stop, Gaurikund, is the commencement point of the trek of 16 km to the holy shrine of Kedarnath. Here you will have the option to proceed towards Kedarnath by either walking or on Pony. After your arrival you will prepare for Darshan and Puja. Located near the head of the river Mandakini, Kedarnath is one of north India’s most sacred pilgrimage destinations. With the breathtaking panoramic view of the snow-capped mountains, Kedarnath is not just a religious destination but onlyas one with nature in its tranquillity. After you have offered your prayers, you will then return to Rampur for your overnight stay.

Day8: 

Next morning, you will be transferred to Pipalkoti with a long drive. On your way, you will enjoy the scenic route that the journey has to offer. Pipalkoti is a small town, acting as the relaxation point on your journey to Badrinath. With its majestic view of snow-capped hills and lush greenery, you will find the perfect place to unwind. Your overnight stay will be at Pipalkoti.

Day9: 

After a scrumptious breakfast, you will proceed towards Badrinath. Here, after your arrival, you will check-in at the hotel. Your first visit for the day will be to Mana Village with an option to partake in a 3 km steep trek. Mana remains the last village falling under the Indian territory before the Tibetan border and has been designated as a “Tourism Village” by the Uttarakhand government. After your visit and brief partaking in the village’s culture, you will be free to explore Badrinath. In the evening, you will go toBadrinath Darshan and Puja. Situated between the two mountain ranges named Nar and Narayan, Badrinath will be a must on your list. Your overnight stay will be here at Badrinath.

Day10: 

Next morning, after breakfast, you will have the option of travelling to Srinagar or proceeding to Auli for a leisure stay. Srinagar is often called “heaven on earth” and is one of the world’s most picturesque cities. You will have the opportunity of travelling on gondola-type rowboats – Shikaras, which will be used to see attractions like the Floating Vegetable Market. Auli is one of India’s most popular skiing destinations and will appeal to the inner adventurer in you. This will come at an extra day and cost.

Day11: 

After breakfast, you will drive back to Haridwar with beautiful memories of the days of your trip until next time.
