Overview:
Everest Base Camp is a dream for most trekkers and travel enthusiasts. Trek to Everest Base Camp, is truly achieving a milestone like no other, as it is at an extremely high altitude. It is the most popular and adventurous trip in Nepal, from where you can witness the picturesque views of some of the world’s highest peaks. The serene beauty of the snowcapped mountains, the charming valleys along with the cool weather attracts tourists all year. Following the trail from Lulka to Kalapatthar amidst the dense conifer and rhododendron forests, the high bridges above the rivers and the majestic mountains towering above is truly an extraordinary sight. On the way, you will also come across some quaint and charming villages like Monjo and Imja. The local people in these villages are very friendly, and exploring their culture as you climb uphill to the Everest Base Camp is mesmerizing. When you finally reach the Everest Base Camp, after the long strenuous journey, all the difficulties seem worth it. The happiness and excitement of completing the expedition are beyond words. And when you start descending, all you are left with are the adventurous experiences that you had while hiking through the rocky terrains and collecting some of the most precious memories of your life along the way.
Day to Day Travel Slate:
Day1:
On your arrival at Kathmandu Airport, you will be received by our representatives. Kathmandu is the beautiful capital of Nepal, standing at an altitude of 4,600ft. You will reach the hotel by noon and check-in. Kathmandu is quite popular for the numerous Temples, Museums and Art Galleries that are located in almost every street. You can explore their local spots and enjoy their cuisines. In the evening, a short briefing session will be done and an overnight stay at Kathmandu.
Day2:
Today, you will leave in the middle of the night and drive for 4 hours to reach Ramechhap Airport. From Ramechhap, you will board the flight, which will take 30 minutes for you to reach Lukla. Lulka is the first destination from where we begin trekking, and it is located at an altitude of 9,350ft. A buffer of one or two days is better to keep in hand as the flights to Lulka might get delayed because of uncertain weather conditions. Soon after reaching, you will trek to Phakding, which is at the height of 8,500ft/2,600m. You will trek for 4-5 hours and cover a distance of 9km, which is an easy and gradual descent. On your way, you will come across Cheplung village. You can witness the magnificent Mt. Khumbila and its panoramic views from there. You will also come across local tea houses from where you can purchase or refill your water bottles.
Day3:
Today, you will head from Phakding to Namche Bazaar. The trail will initially be a moderate climb and then start being steep before Namche Bazaar, which is located at an altitude of 11,300ft/3,450m, and being the capital of the Khumbu Region acts as a passage for trekkers to the higher Himalayas. You will trek a distance of 10km for 7 hours to reach Namche Bazaar, which is the first Everest viewpoint that you will come across today. You can spot the breathtaking views of Kongderei and Thamserku peak. Monjo village is the midpoint of today’s trek. One of the popular attractions of tourists is the Swiss suspension bridge on the Dudhkosi river. It is the most important river in that region and acts as a lifeline. You will also visit the Sagarmatha National Park, which is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Overnight stay will be at Namche Bazaar.
Day4:
Namche Bazaar is one of the best places to acclimatize, and you will spend this day relaxing. You can start to explore the place by hiking up to Sherpa Cultural Museum to get a spectacular view of Everest and Ama Dablam. Namche Bazaar is a favorite for trekkers as you can get all the necessary trekking gears. This town is quite impressive and has a beauty of its own. With an extra cost, you can avail all facilities according to your requirements here, as it is well furnished with ATMs, Cybercafes, Shops, and Restaurants. Overnight stay at Namche Bazaar.
Day 5:
You will begin your journey from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche today. With a trek of 8 km for 5-6 hours, you will reach an altitude of 12,650ft/3,850m. On the way, you will come across the Phunki Tenga village, where you will cross a high bridge. There will be mixed ascent till Phunki Tenga, but Tengboche is a steep ascent. Tengboche is well known for the biggest monastery, where you can attend a prayer ceremony and seek blessings for your journey ahead. Overnight stay at Tengboche.
Day 6:
Today, you will start from Tengboche and head to Dingboche, which is located at the height of 14,250/4,350m. There be a gradual descend and a slight ascent in today’s trek for 9 km. The trail will continue through the Imja Valley to Lobuche River before finally reaching Dingboche. In the 6-7 hours of journey, the ascent begins soon after the Lobuche River and continues till Dingboche. You will travel amidst the serene environment and witness the exuberant Birch forests along with the Conifer and Rhododendron trees. The route provides some stunning views of Ama Dablam that will keep leaning over you throughout the journey. Overnight stay at Dingboche.
Day 7:
After a long trek for 6 days, and reaching such a high altitude, you will spend your day at Dingboche to relax your sore muscles. This day will help you preserve your energy for the rest of the expedition ahead. You can make the most out of the day by hiking a little and witnessing the extraordinary view of the world’s six highest peaks, which include Lhotse, Makalu, and Cho Oyu. The picturesque views of the snow-capped peaks are one of the most memorable moments of this trip. You can also enjoy the marvelous sights of Imja Khola Valley and Dingboche Village. As the blissful day comes to an end, you will spend the night at Dingboche.
Day 8:
Today, you will proceed from Dingboche to Lobuche with a 7 km journey. You will travel for 6 hours to reach Lobuche, which is located at an altitude of 16,200ft/4,950m. The climb for today will be a little challenging amidst the obstacles of rocky terrain and rough moraines. You will visit the Memorial Shrine on your way, which is dedicated to all the climbers who lost their lives on their way to Mt. Everest. The shrine is at the top of a ridge encompassed by various colorful flags and stones that are meant as a tribute. You will also cross the Khumbu Glacier today, where the fascinating Mt. Nuptse can be seen towering above.
Day 9:
This is the day that you had been waiting for. The day when all your hard work will finally pay off. Today you will begin your excursion to the Everest Base Camp. You will leave Lobuche and move uphill for 6 km towards Gorakshep, which is at an altitude of 16,900ft/5,150m, and you will reach almost after 5 hours. The climb from Gorakshep to Everest Base Camp is a 3 km steep rise and will take 3 to 4 hours to reach. Lunch will be at Gorakshep, after which you will have a steeper ascent towards the Everest Base Camp. Tourists are not allowed to stay in the Base Camp, so you will need to carry your backpack and essentials for the rest of the trip. Drinking water is chargeable in Gorakshep and is not included in the trip. The Highest Point for your trek will be at an altitude of 17,550ft/5,350m, and Trekker’s Stop Point is just before the actual base camp. The Everest Base Camp will provide you with some spectacularly picturesque views of the Nuptse, Khumbuste, and Pumori mountains from the base camp. Overnight stay will be at Gorakshep.
Day 10:
To avoid early morning clouds, you will begin early and hike up to Kalapatthar and retreat to Pheriche. Gorakshep to Kalapatthar is 2km from either direction and will take about 3 to 4 hours to reach. On the other hand, Gorakshep to Pheriche is 15km and will take almost 6 hours. Kalapatthar, located below Pumori, is a rocky hilltop situated at an altitude of 18,200ft/5,550m. Pheriche is a small village sitting just above the Tsola river at the height of 14,100ft/4,300m, which houses a hospital that is run by the Himalayan Rescue Association with the help of volunteers. Kalapatthar is quite difficult and is a steep climb, which gradually descents to Pheriche. You will see charming scenic views of Everest, South Col, Lhotse, and Makalu, along with the stunning Khumbu glacier and icefall. The impressive Pumori and Everest Base Camp can also be witnessed from the summit. Breakfast will be at Gorakshep after the strenuous Kalapatthar hike.
Day 11:
Today, you will trek downhill from Pheriche to Namche Bazaar for 15 km. Being a moderate slope and since you will continuously descent with just a short ascent before Namche Bazaar, it will take you only 7-8 hours. Overnight stay will be at Namche Bazaar, where you will get proper sleep and rest to continue retreating the next day.
Day 12:
You will begin retracing your steps from Namche Bazar to Lukla via Phakding today. The trek will begin early in the morning, and as it will be a long day, you will stop at Phakding for lunch. To reach Phakding, you will have to cover 19 km with a moderate and continuous downhill trek. It will take 7-8 hours to reach the height of 8,500ft/2,600m, after which there will be a gradual ascent to Lukla. Overnight stay in Lukla.
Day 13:-
With your trekking expedition to Everest Base Camp coming to an end, you will go back to Kathmandu in the morning with a 30 minutes flight from Ramechhap Airport. You can check in to the hotel, which is included in the cost of the trip, and spend your day relaxing and shopping in Kathmandu. Or you can also fly back home with lots of memories to cherish after this adventurous conquest.

- All ground transport according to the itinerary as well as both way flights. You will also have a choice between Normal Flights or Chartered Helicopters.
- Best available local hotels and lodges for accommodation on twin sharing basis.
- All three meals will be provided daily as per the Hotel menu along with 3 cups of Tea/Coffee per day. Meals will mostly be Indian, Chinese & Continental and will be freshly-prepared.

- All Government Taxes, Service Charges, Trekking Permits, and necessary documents which includes entry fee of Sagarmatha National Park and Khambu Community Development fees.
