Overview:

This is a story walk that will take you on a historical flashback to the early days of the East India Company in India.  Kolkata was then the capital during colonial rule and was considered the second city after London. During the British Raj, Kolkata had flourished immensely and was a well-established center resulting in some of the most iconic landmarks and architectural monuments. Traversing the streets of Kolkata amidst the red-bricked house and the mesmerizing white buildings of Colonial times is sure to take away your breath. You will begin your tour from GPO or the General Post Office, which is located just opposite the Lal Dighi. It is of great architectural significance, and the beautiful white-domed structure is immensely captivating. It is situated at the same spot where Fort William initially stood. Next, you will visit the majestic Royal Insurance Building, which stands tall just beside the GPO.
