Day to Day Travel Slate:

Day1:

On your arrival at Bagdogra Airport / NJP railway station, you will be received and transferred to Latpanchar. Latpanchar is an extraordinary destination that has gained quite a reputation in recent days because of the magnificent panoramic views of the Himalayas that can be witnessed from there. It will take about 2 hours to cover the 45 km journey and finally reach the guest house. As you reach, you will be offered refreshments, and you can enjoy the surreal beauty of the place. After lunch, the Professional Birder will assist you to spot some of the unique species of Himalayan Birds that are found there. This place is a delight for bird lovers, and after the wonderful experience, you will return to the guesthouse for dinner and overnight stay.

Day2:

Today, with an early morning breakfast, you will leave for Mahananda Wildlife Sanctuary. It is a vast stretch of land located at the foothills of the lofty Himalayas and houses several wild animals and varied species of birds. It is an exquisite place to explore and capture breathtaking pictures of our little winged friends. One can easily tread through the forest to enjoy its rich flora and fauna. After the impressive walk through the woods, you will return to the guest house for lunch. Soon after lunch, you will continue exploring some of the other Birding hotspots in the Latpanchar area like the Nursery. Some of the rarest like the Long-Tailed Broadbill, Rufous-necked Hornbills, and quite a view species of Hornbills can be witnessed. Thus, making this one of the favorites for Bird Observers and Photographers.

Day3:

After your breakfast today, you will head towards Lava. Lava is a quaint village in the Kalimpong district known for its graceful culture and elegant beauty. It is almost an 80 km distance for 2.5 hours to finally reach this heavenly destination. This place gives the Bird Watchers some of their best glimpses and moments to enjoy and capture. On your arrival, you will check in to the hotel and spend some time at leisure. The popular species of birds that can be seen in this area are Satyr Tragopan, Ashy Wood Pigeon, Rufous Throated, and spotted Wren Babblers, Yellow Throated Fulveth, Red-Faced Liocichla, Cutia, Rusty bellied shortwing, Blue Fronted Robin and Long-Billed Thrush etc. Soon after your lunch, you will be accompanied by the Professional Guide to traverse through the serene environment and hear the sweet and melodious singing and chirping of the birds. After the blissful day, you will return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day4:

With an early morning breakfast, you will prepare for Birding Activity in the Kampung Reserve Forest and GIT Valley. You should also carry some food and water with you as it is going to be a long, eventful day. You will start walking through the forest trails with steep Ravines and meandering streams on the way that adds to the beauty of the journey. This place is always on the wishlist of most tourists because of its sensational and glorious surroundings. The professional Birder will keep helping you identify the rare species of colorful birds. By the end of the day, you will return to the hotel for an overnight stay and a sumptuous dinner.

Day5:

Today, as you wake up early, you will have a delicious breakfast and prepare to check-out from the hotel. We will begin our journey to Chowdaferi, Neora Valley National Park. It will be a 15Km Jeep trail through long winding roads with epic landscapes and scenery. Along the way, you will notice quite a variety of unique birds like for Khaleej Pheasant, Streak-Breasted Scimitar Babbler, Brown Bull Finch, White-tailed Robin, and the Satyr Tragopan. You will spend the rest of the day exploring Chowadaferi and Neora Valley National Park, which is a World Heritage Center and is well known for its biodiversity. Some of the other species that can be found in the Neora Valley National Parka and on the way to Kolakham are Red-Headed BullFinch, Hoary-throated Barwing, Black-throated Parrotbill, Gold-Naped Finch, Rutous-Throated Wren-Babbler, Golden-Breasted Fulvetta, Rufous-breasted Accentor, Chestnut-headed Tesia, Common Hill Partridge, Satyr Tragopan, Slender-Billed scimitar Babbler etc. After the delightful day amidst the feathered beauties, you will be shifted to Kolakham for an overnight stay at the resort.

Day6:

As your holiday comes to an end, you will get ready to leave the resort in Kolakham after breakfast. Kolakham is the last destination of the trip, which has gained quite a reputation in recent days. It is a blissful place far from the crowded cities where travelers love to enjoy their vacations. You will spend some time amidst the local people and engage in knowing their cultures and traditions. Towards the end of the day, you will head towards the Bagdogra Airport or NJP Railway Station for a return journey with lots of memories.
