Overview:

The unexplored town of Chalsa, situated outside the main town of Siliguri, is a spot with perfect weather, scenery, and environment for a long weekend trip. You need to hop on to a flight or a train followed by a quick drive, and you will reach your destination. The alluring panorama of Chalsa and the neighbouring places such as Murti, Suntalekhola, and Jaldhaka will overwhelm you from seeing the places.

Day to Day Travel Slate:

Day1:

To reach Chalsa, you have to take a flight to the Bagdogra Airport or a train to the NJP Station, then drive for 2hrs (72Kms) and reach Chalsa. The town of Chalsa has recently gained its popularity as a tourist spot that you will find on your way to Dooars, located on Siliguri’s outskirts.
After arriving, you will check-in to one of the finest premium resorts of North Bengal, built amid nature, giving you a sense of adventure as well as rejuvenation. Rest of the day, you will spend leisure roaming around the resort, enjoying the calm and quiet. You will spend the night in Chalsa.

Day2:

After taking a well-spread breakfast, you will take a trip around the wildlife sanctuary (Gorumara or Chapramari). You will participate in the adventurous jungle safari at Gorumara, situated in the Terai region of Eastern Himalayas and known for its protection program of the One-Horned Indian Rhinos.
After enjoying a day filled with an adventure into the wild, you will return to the resort. Relish your dinner, and spend the night in Chalsa.

Day3:

The next morning you will travel towards the Neora Valley National Park. Murti’s elegant village is located on the mountain of the valley, which will be your first stop for the day. The quaint little village is located on River Murti banks, which also flows through Sikkim and Bengal.
On your way, you will make two stops at the serene off-beat destination of Suntalekhola settled amidst a tranquil environment, followed by a visit to the Jaldhaka Hydel Power Plant. The valley town of Jaldhaka is nestled between the high hills of Darjeeling.
You will come back to the resort to spend the last night of the trip to your Chalsa resort.

Day4:

On the last day of the short but adventurous trip, you will return to your abode boarding a flight or a train from Bagdogra or NJP.
