Day to Day Travel Slate:
Day1:
After your arrival at the NJP / Bagdogra airport, you will be transferred to Lamagaon. Situated in the foothills of Singalila National Park and 13 Kilometres away from the tourist spot of Bijan Bari, Lamagaon is a gorgeous Himalayan village. Here you will get a breathtaking view of the spanning peaks of the Kangchenjunga and large varieties of orchids and flowers. Famous for its organic farming, Lamagaon houses seven splendid tea gardens catering to the chai-lover in you. On a clear day, you will easily be privy to the view of the famous Darjeeling Mall from here. With its high reaching peaks and lush green gardens, Lamagaon offers you a mesmerizing diversity in the scenery.
Day2:
You will spend your day strolling in the scenic streets of Lamagaon village. The natural beauty of this little hamlet will easily enchant you. You will stay the night in Lamagaon.
Day3:
The next morning, your journey will take you to Baasbari. Separated by a small distance of 2 kilometers from Bijan Bari, a popular tourist juncture, Baasbari farms offer you the perfect calm for relaxation. If you need a reprieve from the hectic schedule of everyday life, this eco-friendly stay will be the perfect sanctuary for you. This eco- friendly farm, adhering to its core green principles, re-defines eco-tourism. Day4:
After a scrumptious breakfast, you will be transferred to Takdah. With misty meandering roads and beautiful hills, Takdah is a quiet and serene hill town. With its history as an old British cantonment, the architecture of the town matches its heritage. Here, you will get to enjoy the old colonial history along with nature in abundance. Your trip for the day here will take you to some of the world-famous tea gardens of Darjeeling like Rungli-Rungliot, Gilli, Teesta Valley, and Namring. The tea gardens are one of the most picturesque spots of the town with their lush green landscapes surrounded by mountains. From here, you can also get a clear view of the famous Namchi of South Sikkim. Night Stay at Takdah
Day5:
After breakfast, you will have an early morning start for Darjeeling. En-route to Darjeeling, you will visit a quaint little town of Lamahatta. Developed as an eco-tourism spot, Lamahatta offers a serene and quiet environment with beautiful gardens and maze of Dhupi jungle. On arrival in Darjeeling, you will Check-in at the hotel. Your day of sightseeing will begin with a visit to the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute. The next stop for the day will be the only specialized zoo in the country, the Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park. Internationally acclaimed for its conservation breeding programs of endangered species like Red Pandas and Tibetan wolf, the zoological park will be an adventurous learning experience. Built-in 1875, the Ghoom Monastery is the largest in Ghoom and contains a statue of MaitreyaBuddha or “The Buddha to come,” and it will be your next destination. With a visit to Tenzing rock, you will proceed towards Lebong valley noted for its racecourse and Gorkha stadium. Your adventures for the day will conclude with a heritage Joy ride by Toy train. During this joyride, you will also see and experience the Batasia Loop, which was commissioned by the British to counter the sharp descent of the valley during the toy train ride. Return to the hotel will be followed by a night stay.
Day6:
Your trip for the day will be a visit to the delightful village of Lepchajagat. Although just 19 kilometers away from Darjeeling, the village is a world of its own with nature at full bloom, densely forested areas, and a magnificent view of the Kangchenjunga. Your next destination, named after its beautiful twin lakes, will be the village of Jorpokhri. With lovely dense forests of dhupi and pines, the village is a part of the Senchal forest and a nature reserve. You will return to Darjeeling for lunch. The rest of the day will be at your leisure for shopping.
Day7:
Transfer to NJP / Bagdogra airport. After this calming journey, you will be sure to return home with the fondest memories of serene tranquillity and nature at its prime.
