Overview:
West Sikkim is popular for off-beat tourist destinations like Ramdhura, Kaluk, Pelling, and Yuksom. They provide a natural gateway far from the crowded cities and has a magnificent landscape surrounded by the mighty mountains, deep valleys, and dense forests. In this weeklong trip, you will visit the Khecheopalri Lake, the Changey Falls, and the Dzongri Trek Point and witness some of the most mesmerizing views of this journey. Admiring the Tea plantations, observing the Local Culture and Sightseeing at every location, you will have a wonderful holiday and make memories of a lifetime.
Day to Day Travel Slate:
Day1:
On arrival at NJP/Bagdogra, you will be greeted by our Representatives. After that, you will be transferred to Ramdhura, which is a 90 km journey. Ramdhura is a small village in Kalimpong with an altitude of 5000 ft. Tourists are mainly attracted to this place to see the changing color of Mt. Kangchenjunga during Sunrise. The flowing Teesta River, the deep green Valleys, the Pine Forests, and the Cinchona Plantations offer absolute tranquillity. It is a delight for bird watchers as varied species of birds flock here. You can also indulge in the optional Adventure Activities like Paragliding and River Rafting at Teesta Bazaar. Overnight stay at Ramdhura.
Day2:
After breakfast, we will leave for a new off-beat location named Kaluk. It is 100 km from Ramdhura and will take about 4 hours to reach. It provides a panoramic view of Mt.Kangchenjunga. On reaching Kaluk, you can relax and spend the night there.
Day3:
After a delicious breakfast, we will proceed for the local Sight-seeing near Kaluk. It is the windiest place in Sikkim, and the people here are dependent on agriculture for their living. The Durga Mandir, Rinchenpong Gumpa, and Megi Dara are some of the popular destinations of this area. You can enjoy the serenity of this quaint village with a rich history and culture. Overnight stay at Kaluk.
Day4:
Today, we will head towards Pelling via Uttarey, which lies in the Indo-Nepal border and is a 40 km journey and will take 2 hours. Pelling is the second biggest tourist destination in the state after Gangtok. Pelling’s pleasant environment and breathtaking setting will be one of the most enthralling experiences of this trip. On the way, we will also visit the Khecheopalri Lake. It is a holy lake surrounded by dense forests. It is believed that birds don’t allow even a single leaf to float on the surface of the Lake. Next, we will come across the Changey Waterfalls. The soothing sound of the gushing water and then disappearing below is quite a mesmerizing sight. Overnight stay at Pelling.
Day5:
Our journey for the day towards Yuksom will be via Pelling Rimbi Road. It will be a 45 Km drive, and we will reach in approximately 2 hours. It is a beautiful town in the lap of nature and is the old capital of Sikkim. You can spend the evening relaxing and overnight stay at Yuksom.
Day6:
Today, after a healthy breakfast, we will spend the whole day sightseeing at Yuksom. We will visit the Dzongri Trek Point, which is among the best trekking destinations in India. This place is framed by the snow-capped mountains shining under the golden rays of the Sun. After an exciting trek overnight stay will be at Yuksom.
Day7:
With the 7 Days long journey coming to an end, we will return to NJP / Bagdogra and head back home with lots of memories of this adventurous holidaying experience.
