Day to Day Travel Slate:
Day 1:
You will travel for 6hrs (265kms) and reach Coorg after arriving at the Bangalore Airport.
Coorg, officially known as Kodagu, is a popular hill station by the Western Ghats range. The place has an exotic green scenery, hills and streams and waterfalls cutting through them. Coorg is the ancestral home of the Kodavas tribal clan, who are well known for their martial arts. It is also the hub for coffee production and spice plantation and is often referred to as the ‘Scotland of India’ for its mesmerizing scenic beauty.
You will check into your hotel and take some rest. Later you can visit the seasonal garden called the Raja’s Seat and enjoy the water cascades at the Abbey Falls and the Iruppu Falls. At night you can come back to your hotel and relax and spend the night in Coorg.
Day 2:
Today, the entire day, you will explore Coorg. Your tour will start with Talakaveri, a holy place for the Hindus as the place is the source of River Kaveri. Next, you will visit the Golden Temple, which is a Tibetan Monastery, also known as the Namdroling Monastery. Later you can also enjoy some rafting in the Barapole River. Your last stop for the day will be the Nagarhole National Park, also called the Rajiv Gandhi National Park. The place crawls with several waterfalls and streams cutting through hills, valleys, and forests. The park is also a famous spot for animal and bird watching. Later, before returning to the hotel, you can visit any nearby coffee plantation and purchase some coffee that has a global reputation. You will spend the night in Coorg.
Day 3:
In the morning after breakfast, you will be on your way to Ooty (6hrs, 246kms).
The ‘Queen of the Nilgiris’ or Udhagamandalam, commonly called as Ooty is an ideal holiday destination. The place is well known from the time of the British Raj in India as it was a resort town for them during summer. Ooty has picturesque scenery surrounded by the mystic Blue Mountains, which attracts the tourists more.
After reaching Ooty, you will check into the hotel and rest. Later you can go and visit Ooty Lake. You can enjoy a stroll around the lake and watch the beautiful sight of the Nilgiri Mountain range. You will send the night in Ooty.
Day 4:
The next day you will take a local tour around Ooty. You will first visit the Emerald Lake in the Silent Valley region, followed by the Ooty Rose Garden. If possible, you will also cover the Avalanche Lake, a picturesque location ideal for nature-lovers and photographers. Later you will come back to the hotel and relax. You will spend the night in Ooty.
Day 5:
Today is the second day of your local Ooty tour. After breakfast, you will visit the Pykara Lake and Pykara Falls.
Later you will visit the Doddabetta Peak, which is the highest peak of the Nilgiris, and then you can go to Upper
Bhavani Lake. You will have the evening free to indulge in some shopping, or you can relax at the hotel.
Day 6:
In the morning, you will be on your way to Bangalore. It will be a 7hrs journey (273kms). After arriving you will check into your hotel and relax for the day.
Day 7:
The next day after breakfast, you will check-out from the hotel and head towards the airport with the wonderful memories of the trip.
