The cultural city of Madurai will instigate and impress you with its incredible architectural temples. The holiday you spend traveling around Tamil Nadu will forever leave a mark in your memories.

Day to Day Travel Slate:

Day 1:

After arriving at the Bangalore Airport, you will be heading to Mysore (150kms, 3hrs). There you will check into your hotel and later go out take a peek at some of the surrounding famous tourist spots. Your first stop will be the St. Philomena’s Church, which is the second tallest church in Asia designed in the Neo-Gothic style. The tour will continue with the well maintained and manicured Brindavan Gardens, which is spread for about 21kms and offers musical fountain show and boating. Later you will come back to your hotel for the night stay.

Day 2:

In the morning after breakfast, you will be on your way exploring other tourist attractions around Mysore. Your day will begin with a visit to Karanji Lake, also known as Fountain Lake. It is an ideal spot for picnic and bird watching. After that, you can go to see the Chamundi Hills Bull Statue. One of the main attractions of Mysore is its famous palace. The Mysore Palace or the Amba Vilas Palace belonged to the royal family of Wadiyars, and it is one of the tourist spots in Mysore that one should never miss when in the city. Your last stops would be the Lalitha Mahal and the famous Railway Museum. Later, in the evening you will be free to go around the city for shopping. You will be spending the night at your hotel in Mysore.

Day 3:

In the morning, you will travel to Ooty after breakfast and checking out from Mysore. After arriving you will settle in your hotel and take some rest. Later you can go out for some sightseeing around. Ooty or Udagamandalam is popularly referred to as the ‘Queen of the Nilgiris’. It is an ideal destination if you want to spend some days vacationing in a picturesque setting amidst the surrounding scenic beauty and the mystic Blue Mountains. On your first day in Ooty, you can visit the Ooty Lake, Emerald Lake, and take a walk in the Ooty Rose Garden. If you have time, you might also go to Avalanche Lake. At night you will come back to your hotel and spend the night.

Day 4:

The next day you will take a local tour around Ooty, visiting the rest of the popular tourist spots. You can take a walk to the Pykara Waterfalls and enjoy a boat ride at the Pykara Lake. Later you can also appreciate the view of the highest mountain in the Nilgiri, the Doddabetta Peak, and see the beautiful Upper Bhavani Lake. You will have the evening to yourself for shopping or relaxing and spend the night in Ooty.

Day 5:

In the morning, you will travel to your next destination, which is Kodaikanal. Often called the ‘Princess of Hill Stations,’ Kodaikanal serves you with cliffs, waterfall, and an ideal climate for a romantic getaway. After traveling for 7hrs from Ooty, you will reach Kodaikanal and check into your hotel. You might feel tired after a long journey, so you will only visit Kodai Lake and cover the rest of the spots the next day.

Day 6:

The following day you will visit the famous tourist spots around Kodaikanal. Your first stop will be the Green Valley View, formerly known as the Suicide Point. This point serves the best panoramic view of Kodaikanal. Your tour will continue with the Kurinji Temple, the Thalaiyar Falls, the Silver Cascade Falls, the mysterious and adventurous Guna Caves popularly known as the Devil’s Kitchen and lastly the Pine Forest. Your evening will be free for you to indulge in some shopping. Later you will come back to your hotel and spend the night in Kodaikanal.

Day 7:

In the morning you will travel to Madurai for 3hrs. It will be your last destination for the vacation. Madurai referred to as the ‘Lotus City’ or the ‘City of Temples’, is one of the oldest cities in India. It is the cultural city of Tamil Nadu hosting many temples, some of which you will be visiting, such as the Meenakshi Amman Temple, AlagarKovil Temple, and many more. Apart from temples, you will also be exploring the ThirumalaiNayakar Mahal, the Vaigai Dam, the mountain range of Meghamalai, and the Samanar Hills. After the Madurai sightseeing, you will return to your hotel and spend the night there.

Day8:

The next morning after breakfast, you will check out from the hotel and be on your way to the airport to go back home after spending a long, satisfying holiday in Tamil Nadu.
