Overview:

Mizoram represents the unexplored natural beauties with the rich heritage and culture of the local people. The green city of Aizawl, the hill station of Hmuifang, the enormous man-made Tamdil Lake and the hills of Reiek, with so many places to be explored you must plan your next vacation to the land of the Mizos.

Day to Day Travel Slate:

Day 1:

After you arrive at Aizawl Airport (Lengpui Airport), the capital city of Mizoram, you will be taken to your hotel for check-in.
Greenery and surrounded by hills cover the quaint city of Aizawl. Being the capital city of the state of Mizoram, the city was the home of the Mizo tribe. While enjoying a couple of days here, the tourists can experience the local culture and food.
Later after taking some rest you will take a local tour and visit the Bara Bazar market, which is the main shopping centre of the city. There you can do some souvenir shopping. You will spend the night in Aizawl.

Day 2:

The next day after breakfast, you will travel for about an hour (40kms) to Hmuifang.
Hmuifang, as one of the most beautiful places in Mizoram, is also the capital of Aizawl. It is an ideal location for hill-station lovers and wildlife enthusiasts. Apart from hills, the land of Hmuifang is covered by vast stretches of green forests.
On the way to Hmuifang, you will make a stop to visit Thiak, which is a heritage site. Later you will have your lunch at the Hmuifang Tourist Resort. For the local tour around Hmuifang you will visit the highest waterfall of the state, Vantawang Waterfalls in Thenzawal and the Hmuifang Mountains. In the evening you will come back to Aizawl and spend the night there in the hotel.

Day3:

The next day starts with the Aizwal city tour by visiting the State Museum at McDonald Hill, various handloom and handicraft centres. For a beautiful Aizwal city view, visit ATC, Durtlang. Later in the day, spend some time at Mizoram’s largest lake, Tamdil Lake. Tam Lake, located amidst the wilderness of the state of Mizoram,is a man-made water body. Apart from the serene beauty of the lake and its surroundings, it is also the largest lake of the state, which makes it anideal tourist destination. It is home to various birds, animals, and plants. In the evening, visit Beraw Tlang tourist centre for dinner and spend the night at the hotel in Aizwal.

Day 4:

Start your day with a good breakfast and proceed to Lungleng village to see Lungleng Chieftain, Heritage home. In the afternoon, return to the hotel for lunch. After lunch, your next destination is Reiek, which is 50 Km away, and it will take 2 hrs to reach there. En-route you will visit the Khuangchera Cave. Later you will visit the Reiek mountain, also known as ReiekTlang. It is one of the highest hills in Mizoram and offers an exquisite panoramic view of Aizawl and the surrounding valley. Ahill is also a right place for trekking and bird-watching. At the Reiek Tourist Resort, you will attend a cultural and entertaining show and enjoy dinner there too. At night you will leave for Aizawl and spend the night there in your hotel.

Day 5:

On the last day of your trip with the beautiful journey coming to an end, you will be dropped off to the airport or the railway station for you to go back home with unforgettable memories of the holiday.
