For the nature lover, the trek to Rangeet River with its long winding roads and hilly backdrop offers another incentive to visit. Darjeeling will be a great adventure hill town, awaiting your arrival.

Day to Day Travel Slate:

Day1:

After your at the NJP / Bagdogra airport, you will be transferred to Fagu Tea estate. Steeped in the colonial architecture from the 19th century, Fagu Tea Estate offers you an unforgettable experience of the breathtaking views offered by North Bengal. Heritage Tea Bungalow, very near to Gurubathan, Kalimpong, is the perfect retreat for someone looking for peaceful moments in the lap of nature. This gorgeous place will bring you the ideal view of cascading waterfalls, a variety of birds, and a serene backdrop.

Day2:

You will spend your day at the Fagu Tea Estate. Here you will take a walk along withthe evergreen trees and gorgeous orchards. Your next stop will be the tea manufacturing unit, where you will learn more about the process. With its magical allure, the magnificent FafarKhati waterfall over the Chel River will be the perfect spot for you to unwind and relax. Your night stay will be at the Estate.

Day3:

The next morning, you will be transferred to Dawaipani. Located just 15 kilometers away from Darjeeling, Dawaipani is a beautiful quaint little Himalayan village near the Sinchula Sanctuary. With more than 120 species of Himalayan and migratory birds, this village is a paradise for bird watchers. This gorgeous small hamlet offers you a breathtaking view of Kangchenjunga and a clear view of Namchi. Your night stay will be at Dawaipani.

Day4:

After a scrumptious breakfast, you will take a small little trek to Rangeet river via RungdungKhola. Originating in the Himalayas, this tributary river of river Teesta is the largest river at Sikkim. The walk will be an adventurous experience for you, as you will be taken in by the exquisite scenery. Your night stay will be at Dawaipani.

Day5:

Afterearly morning breakfast, you will start for Darjeeling. Located among the hills of the Himalaya, Darjeeling is a beautiful city and hill station. Upon your arrival in Darjeeling, you will check-in at the hotel. You can spend your evening at your own leisure with local shopping.

Day6:

Your day of sightseeing will begin with a visit to the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute. The next stop for the day will be the only specialized zoo in the country, the Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park. Internationally acclaimed for its conservation breeding programs of endangered species like Red Pandas and Tibetan wolf, the zoological park will be an adventurous learning experience. Built-in 1875, the Ghoom Monastery is the largest in Ghoom and contains a statue of Maitreya Buddha or “The Buddha to come,” and it will be your next destination. With a visit to Tenzing rock, you will proceed towards Lebong valley noted for its racecourse and Gorkha stadium. Your adventures for the day will conclude with a heritage Joy ride by Toy train. During this joyride, you will also see and experience the Batasia Loop, which was commissioned by the British to counter the sharp descent of the valley during the toy train ride. Day7:

You will then be transferred to NJP / Bagdogra airport.Your return home will be one with pleasant memories of the mountain and gorgeous tea plantations, awaiting your next visit.
