Day to Day Travel Slate:
Day1:
On your arrival at Dehradun Airport or Haridwar Railway station, you will be received and transferred to Haridwar. Haridwar is one of the most religious places in India. After check-in to the hotel, you can spend your evening enjoying the “Sandhya Aarti” at Har ki Pauri Ghat. After that, you can spend your leisure time exploring the food trail in Haridwar. Day2:
Today you will be transferred to Rishikesh, where you will go sightseeing. Rishikesh is a religious tourist spot encapsulated by Nature. First, we will visit the Lakshman Jhula, which is a long hanging bridge made in honor of Lakshman, the younger brother of Lord Ram. Next, we will visit Gita Bhavan, which is one of the most prominent Ashrams and is famous for serving free food and services for pilgrims. You can spend your time meditating and also enjoy the writings engraved in its walls from the epics like Ramayana and Mahabharata. Our next destination will be Ram Jhula, which is a bridge similar to Lakshman Jhula and is quite a famous place attracting many devotees every year from different parts of India. Then we will head towards our last spot, the Samadhi of Baba Kali Kamli, which has a calm and serene environment. You can also have an adventurous River Rafting experience in river Ganga. In the evening, you will attend the spiritual Ganga Aarti- the rituals of Ganga Puja.
Day3:
After a healthy breakfast, we will head to Uttarkashi, which will be a 175Km ride for 7 hours. Uttarkashi, as the name suggests, means the “Kashi of North.” It is a beautiful place surrounded by nature and lies on the bank of the Bhagirathi river. This place also serves as the gateway to Gangotri Yatra. On arrival, you will visit NIM (Nehru Institute of Mountaineering), which is known as one of the best and well-established mountaineering institutes of India. Overnight stay at Uttarkashi.
Day4:
With a 75 km drive, you will be transferred to Harshil today. It is located on the bank of Bhagirathi river, where you can witnessa lot of Himalayan birds and is a pleasant sight for Bird Watchers. On your way, you can also take a tour of the charming Apple Orchards. There is a quaint ecstatic village named Dharali, which is just 6 Km away from Harshil. You can also visit another village named Mukhba,which is located nearby. Overnight stay at Harshil.
Day5:
Today, you will be transferred to Gangotri, which will be a 25 Km journey for 1.5 hours. On your way, you will come across the enchanting views of the Snow-clad Mountains and Pine Forests. You will visit the Ganga Mandir, which is a prime place of worship. Gangotri is one of the Char Dhams that are famous for pilgrimages. After your pristine visit, you will proceed to the Bhagirath Shila, Suraj Kund, and Pandava Guha. The Suraj Kund waterfalls give a magnificent sight, and the Pandava Guha is of historical significance because it is believed to be the residence of the Pandavas. In the evening, you will attend the Ganga Aarti at the temple. Overnight Stay at Gangotri.
Day6:
You will be heading to Yamunotri with a long ride of 227 Km for 6 hours. The Motorable road will end at Janki Chatti, after which you havea walk up to 7 Km for Mandir Darshan. The two hot springs, Suraj Kund and Gaurikund are the Centre of attractions. Overnight stay at Barkot.
Day7:
After breakfast, today, you will travel to Haridwar or Dehradun from Barkot. It will be a 175 Km journey for 6 hours approximately, on reaching check-in at the hotel. Overnight stay at Haridwar or Dehradun.
Day8:
With the trip coming to an end, you will get ready for your return journey by Air or Train with some of the best memories of your life.
