On this trip, you will visit Haridwar and Rishikesh and enjoy the different temples and ghats there. The Badrinath temple is one of the Centre of Attractions of this journey, as it is one of the Char Dhams that are popular amongst pilgrims. Day to Day Travel Slate:
Day1:
On your arrival at Dehradun Airport or Haridwar Railway station, you will be received and transferred to Haridwar. After check-in to the hotel, you can spend your evening enjoying the “Sandhya Aarti” at Har ki Pauri Ghat. Relax and overnight stay at Haridwar.
Day2:
Today you will be sightseeing at Haridwar, one of the most religious places in India. Haridwar was initially called “Gangadwar” because of the holy river Ganga that crossed this placeto flow into the Indo-Gangetic Plains. Our first destination for the day will be Manasa Pahar, where a temple devoted to Manasa Devi is located.Next, we will go to Chandi Pahar, which is also a shrine for the Chandi Devi and is said to fulfill the wishes of the devotees. After that, we will proceed to Kankhal, which is a small religious place and is said to be among one of the five pilgrimage spots of Haridwar. It is of considerable significance amongst Hindus for the Mahadev Temple and Sati Kund. Bharat Mata ki mandir will be our next stop. It is one of the most cultural places of Haridwar and is dedicated to the “Bharat Mata.” You can also visit Chilla Wildlife Sanctuary, which is 10 Km from Haridwar and is enriched with greenery and will be a refreshing trip. Overnight stay Haridwar.
Day3:
After breakfast, you will go for sightseeing at Rishikesh. Rishikesh is a religious spot located at the lap of Himalayas. First, we will visit the Lakshman Jhula, which is a long hanging bridge made in honor of Lakshman, the younger brother of Lord Ram. Next, we will visit Gita Bhavan, which is one of the biggest Ashrams of Rishikesh, and it is known to offer free food and stay for pilgrims. You can sit and meditate in its complex and also enjoy the writings from the Hindu holy books like Ramayana and Mahabharataengraved on its walls. Then with a 2 km ride from Rishikesh, we will reach Ram Jhula, which is a bridge similar to Lakshman Jhula but is a little longer. It is quite a famous place attracting a lot of devotees every year fro different parts of India. Then we will head towards our last destination, the Samadhi of Baba Kali Kamli, which has a very spiritual ambiance.You can also have an adventurous River Rafting experience in river Ganga. In the evening, you will attend the spectacular Ganga Aarti- the rituals of Ganga Puja.
Day4:
Today you will transfer to Joshimath with a 255Km drive for 10 hours via NH7, the gateway of Badribas. Joshimath is a sacred tourist spot that falls in the Chamoli district. It is a center of attraction for tourists andis famous for its ancient temples and spiritually blissful ambiance. Overnight stay at Joshimath.
Day5:
After a good breakfast, you will proceed on the journey to Badrinath, which will be a 43 Km ride for 2 hours. The Temple of Badrinath is situated on the bank of River Alaknanda. You can witness an ecstatic view of Nilkantha peak from here. You will then visit the Badrinath temple, followed by Darshan and Puja. Rest and night stay at the hotel.
Day6:
On the second day at Badrinath, you will visit the lost village Mana which is 3 Km away from Badrinath and is close to the Indo-Tibetan border. Next, we will visit Byas Guha,which is located in the Mana Village. The Byas Guha gets its name from Sage Byas, who is said to have composed the sacred book of Mahabharata sitting in that cave.Then we will proceed to Bhim Pool, which lies adjacent to the Byas Guha. After crossing the Bhim Pool, we will also visit the remarkable Vasudhara Waterfalls, that flows from an altitude of 122 meters above sea level. Overnight stay at Badrinath.
Day7:
Today, you will be transferred to Auli with a 60km journey for 3 hours. From Joshimath, you can either go by road or by Ropeway. Auli is a perfect destination with panoramic views of the Mountains and splendid Valleys in the lap of Nature. From Auli, you can see the 2nd highest peak of India, Nandadevi. Other peaks like Dronagiri, Brahmagiri, Nilgiri, Hati, Ghori, Kamet, etc. can also be witnessed. From there, you can walk down to Gorson Bugial, which is a patch of land located at an altitude of 3056 meters above sea level. It is encapsulated by oak and other coniferous trees. Our last destination will be the Ski Point, which is a heaven for Adventure lovers and Trekkers. Overnight stay at Auli.
Day8:
You will be transferred to Haridwar or Dehradun today. On reaching, you will check in to the hotel and spend the night there.
Day9:
As your journey comes to an end, you will prepare for returning home, with the memories of a trip that was full of culture and traditions and a pinch of excitement and adventure.
