Overview:
As the name suggests, Shantiniketan the “Abode of Peace” and is a very famous destination of Kolkata, which tourists and locals alike love to visit. On this trip, you will visit iconic places like Viswa Bharati University, founded by Rabindranath Tagore in 1921, which is now known for its National Rank in India. Tagore’s Ashram that beholds the literary works and awards of Rabindranath Tagore is a very well preserved Heritage Sites and is a delightful visit. The aesthetic culture and vibrant Folk Performances that you will witness is truly mesmerizing. This destination located amidst nature has its appeal, and the delicious food is bound to capture your heart.
Day to Day Travel Slate:
Day1:
Upon your arrival, Shantiniketan will take 160 Km for 4 Hrs to reach. You will then check-in to a resort or a heritage bungalow. After that, you will be eating your delicious Bengali lunch and travel to visit Pratriti Bhavan, the famous Amar Kutir, Srijani Shilpagram, and take a stroll through the Shantiniketan campus, and then finally visit the Kopai River. In the evening, you will return to the resort and enjoy a cultural folk program performed by locals. After a filling and delicious dinner, you will have an overnight stay at Shantiniketan.
Day2:
After breakfast, you will explore the world-famous Viswa Bharati University Campus, the Uttarayan complex, and the Ballavpur Wildlife Sanctuary. After this, you will be coming back to the resort for a delightful lunch and then proceed to the Sonajhuri forest, and Shonibarer Haat and Khoai river to visit the natural bits of this place. Overnight stay will be at the resort.
Day3:
After breakfast at the resort, you will proceed with your return journey back to Kolkata.
