Overview:

Sikkim is a state in North-East India, which is enclosed by dramatic landscapes. It is the best destination if you are looking for a natural gateway. This place is far from the hustle-bustle of the crowded cities and has a magnificent landscape surrounded by the mighty mountains, deep valleys, and dense forests. In this weeklong trip, you will visit Gangtok, the capital city of Sikkim, and the famous hill stations of Pelling and Ravangla. The monasteries, temples, waterfalls, gardens, lakes, and more add to the mesmerizing beauty of this journey Admiring the Tea plantations and observing the local culture will be a great experience. Amidst sightseeing at every location, you are sure to have a wonderful holiday and make memories of a lifetime.

Day to Day Travel Slate:

Day1:

On arrival NJP/Bagdogra, you will be greeted by our representatives. After that, you will be transferred to Gangtok, which will take about 5 hours. Then you will check in to the hotel and spend the rest of the day sightseeing at Gangtok. Our first destination will be the Tashi Viewpoint, which gives a 360-degree view of the city of Gangtok and offers a panoramic view of the Mt. Kanchenjunga. Gangtok has several viewpoints, and Hanuman and Ganesh Tok are some of the best. Ganesh Tok, which is 7 km northeast of Gangtok and Hanuman Tok that lies 4 km above it will be our next stops. After that we will visit the Enchey Monastery, which is a religious center and belongs to the Nyingma order of Vajrayana Buddhism. Our last destination will be Dodrul Chorten, which is regarded as one of the most important stupas of Sikkim. It is a golden-domed stupa located on a hillock, which can be noticed from various parts of Gangtok. Overnight stay at Gangtok.

Day2:

Today, after breakfast, we will visit Changu lake, that is filled with water of melted snow coming from the surrounded mountains. It is an oval-shaped lake with a depth of 50 feet, and during winters, it freezes into a snowfield. You can enjoy its serene beauty along with some snacks and beverages from the stalls nearby.Next, we will visit Nathu La, which is located at the height of 4,310 meters approximately and is surrounded by Alpine trees. It is considered one of the highest motorable mountain passes in the world. Our last place of visit for the day will be Baba Mandir. It is a shrine made in honor of an Indian Army Major “Baba Harbhajan Singh.” It is believed that Baba’s spirit protects the soldiers posted in that area. After your unique visit to Baba Mandir, you can spend theevening shopping at MG Marg.

Day3:

After breakfast, you will visit Rumtek Monastery, which is an epitome of Tibetan architecture. It is a popular Buddhist monastery with a picturesque background of the majestic hills and stunning waterfalls. You will also visit the Namgyal Institute of Tibetology, which is world-famous in its research of Tibetan language and culture. It has a serene ambiance, and you can spend your time exploring the museum on its premises.

Day4:

Today, you will be transferred to Pelling. It will be a 5 hours long journey of 130 Km. Pelling is the second biggest tourist destination in the state after Gangtok. Pelling’s blissful environment and breathtaking setting will be one of the most enthralling experiences of this trip. On the way, you will also visit Buddha Park. It is also known as Tathagata Tsal and is situated in the religious complex of Rabong Monastery with a 40 m high statue of Buddha as its Centerpiece. On reaching Pelling, we will check in to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day5:

Today, after a healthy breakfast, we will leave for local sightseeing at Pelling. First, we will leave for the famous Rimbi Falls and enjoy its spectacular beauty. Next,we will head towards the majestic Kangchenjunga Waterfall. It is one of the most renowned spots in Pelling and shouldn’t be missed. Next, we will leave for Khecheopalri lake, which is known to be sacred for both Buddhists and Hindus. The lake is surrounded by forests and is believed to fulfill wishes.

Day6:

After an early breakfast, we will head to Ravangla. It is also a popular tourist destination of South Sikkim. It is located on a ridge between Maenam and Tendong Hill at an altitude of 7000ft. It gives an unmatched view of the Greater Himalayas and has a stunning landscape. After reaching Ravangla, you will check in to the hotel and relax. Overnight stay at Ravangla.

Day7:

After breakfast, we will start sightseeing at Ravangla. Ralang and Tashiding Monasteries will be our next destinations. Ralang Monastery is a famous Buddhist monastery of the Kagyu sect. Here you can spend some time meditating in the blissful ambiance. The Tashiding Monastery is another Buddhist monastery of the Nyingma sect. It is considered as the “Heart of Sikkim,” thus highlighting its religious significance. After that, we will leave for the Temi Tea garden. It is the only Tea Garden in Sikkim and one of the best in India.The garden is laid on a sloping hill, and its tea has quite a demand in the International Markets. Our last destination of this trip will be Borong, a small village with ecstatic charm and beauty. It’s a delight for bird watchers, as varied species of birds can be seen flocking around the emerald forest of Borong.

Day8:

As the journey comes to an end, you will relish the splendid holiday and the beautiful memories that you captured. And soon, you will be transferred to NJP / Bagdogra to return home.
