Overview:

Unmatched sports enthusiasts inhabit a small village of Punjab, located outside Ludhiana. The biggest city of Punjab is famous for its hosiery industry, earning the title ‘Manchester of India.’ The village of Kila Raipur every year holds the most spectacular events, known as the Rural Olympics.

People worldwide have visited the village to witness the grand affair since its beginning in 1993. The Magnus opus of all festivals includes races such as different animal sports, kabaddi, high and long jump, cart races etc. The three-day festival held during the month of February also arranges some quirkiest events that will leave you awestruck. These three days project the valiant spirit of the men and women of Ludhiana.

Day to Day Travel Slate:

Day1:

You will arrive at the Chandigarh Airport or the Railway station, and from there, you will head for Ludhiana (105 Km, 2 Hrs). There you will check-in atthe hotel, enjoy some refreshments and relax till late noon.

After lunch, you will go out to the Rural Olympics, the Kila Raipur Sports. You will spend the rest of the afternoon there enjoying the excitement of the people and the rush of adrenaline and watch a different set of games such as hockey, tug of war, cycle race, and many more.

At night you will drive back to your hotel and spend the night at Ludhiana.

Day2:

In the morning, after having your breakfast at the hotel, you will go to the 2nd day of the Kila Raipur festival. Today you will experience games like 100mts – 1500 Mts race, High and long jump, Kabaddi, Bullock Cart race, Short Put, Mule cart race, etc. In the horse and bullock cart races, the common participants are the local tractors. In this festival, you will also experience the unique martial arts stunts demonstrated by the young Sikh performers.

In the evening, after spending another lovely day at the festival, you will return to the hotel for a night stay.

Day3:

On your last day at the games festival, you will witness some inexplicable activities that you have never seen before. You will see people pulling cars with their hair, teeth, or ears; you will see people lifting bicycles and ladders with their mouths. Similarly, there will be other astonishing activities taking place that will leave you in awe.

Today you will also enjoy the performances of folk singers and other performers.

You will spend the night in Ludhiana.

Day4:

With the lovely trip coming to an end, you will drive to Amritsar airport or railway station (140kms, 2.5hrs) from where you can head towards your home. You can also choose to extend your trip for some more days; in that case, you will be dropped off to your convenient location.
