Overview:

Bhutan is a country that will give a unique experience because of it being nestled in the arms of the Himalayas, offering breath-taking scenery and landscape that will keep you engaged in travelling every corner of the country. Naturally grown forests on the hills have occupied most of the land and space. Bhutan will give you exposure to their uniqueness about culture and cuisine, and lifestyle. The warm and inviting nature of people throughout Bhutan will enhance the entire tour’s overall eminence.

Day to Day Travel Slate:

Day1:

On arrival at Bagdogra airport or NJP railway station, whichever will be convenient and provided, you will transfer to Jaldapara, which is 135 km away and a 4 hours long ride. You will check-in into a resort and get ready for a jungle safari in the afternoon after getting some rest. In the evening, you will attend a local cultural program, which will show different cultures of North Bengal, and after a hearty dinner, you will have an overnight stay at Jaldapara.

Day2: 

After a filling breakfast, you will proceed to Thimpu, which is about 175 km away and will take 6 hours to reach. On your way to Thimpu in the entire journey, you will be passing through Phuntsholing, which is the entry point of Bhutan and looks beautiful to the eyes as well. You have to obtain an online permit with a simple Biometric process to enter Bhutan. You will get to see the Bhutan Gate, Crocodile Zoo, and several other monasteries on reaching. On arrival at Thimpu, you will check-in to a premium hotel, and after a succulent dinner, a warm overnight stay at Thimpu will follow

Day3: 

The third day will be full of exuberant activities, and you will be enjoying some exclusive sightseeing in and around Thimpu areas. The sightseeing will include:

  • Dochula Pass
  • Buddha Dordenma
  • Tashichho Dzong
  • Folk Heritage Museum
  • Thimpu Chorten
  • Thimpu Weekend Market
  • Changangkha Lhakhang
  • Dechen Phodrang
  • National Library of Bhutan

You will also get introduced to the local culture and lifestyle of the people, where you can learn about Bhutanese people’s affinity towards Buddhism. Finally, you will conclude the day with a saucily cooked dinner in the hotel.

Day4:

After a filling breakfast, you will be paying a visit to Punakha, a 17th-century fortress. At Punakha, you will be enjoying masked dances and songs performed by the local tribal people. During the afternoon, you will be travelling towards Paro, where you will see the National Museum of Bhutan and several exclusively adorned monasteries. The whole day will be full of exotic and cultural activities. Later in the day, you will check-in to a resort, and after a delightful dinner, an overnight stay at Paro will cater to you.

Day5:

After a filling breakfast at the resort, you will travel to an exciting place where if you can brave the risky cliffs on a high mountain, Paro will enchant you in the form of Taktsang Monastery. After getting through 1200 metres on this cliff, you will reach one of Bhutan’s most famous parts, also known as the Tiger’s Nest. The valley underneath has an astonishing view, and you will be able to soothe your eyes with the same. The Taktsang Monastery had been constructed by Sain Guru Rinpoche, who visited Bhutan around 747 CE, and this beautiful monastery took its final shape around 1694. Going through the 3-hours long trek on Tiger’s Nest is extremely daring and exciting. You may also opt for a horse ride from the parking lot.

After your return to the resort, you will have a fantastic dinner and an overnight stay at Paro.

Day6:

After breakfast, check-out from the hotel at Paro and proceed to Gorumara Forest (248 Km, 7 Hrs). On arrival, check-in to a resort and relax. Later in the afternoon, you will be taken to Dooars Jungle tour to experience some exciting memories.

Day7:

After a mouth-watering breakfast at the resort, you will then proceed to NJP Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport for your journey back home.
