Day to Day Travel Slate:
Day1:
On your arrival at the Bhopal Airport/Railway Station, you will be transferred to Bhimbetka. This place is named after one of the Pandavas “Bhima” and is derived from the words “Bhima Baitka,” denoting it to be his place for sitting. It will be a 45 km drive for 1.5 hours to Bhimbetka. Once you reach the destination, you will check-in to the hotel and spend your day at leisure. In the afternoon, after lunch, you will go for a comfortable stroll through the lanes of the city. It is a fascinating experience to explore locales and interact with the local people. After the walk, you will return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day2:
Today, after breakfast, you will proceed for sightseeing. Your first stop will be at the extraordinary Bhimbetka Caves. The Caves, located at the foothills of the Vindhyan Mountains, are enriched with flora and fauna that encapsulates it. It is an archaeological site and has paintings engraved on them. UNESCO has declared it as a World Heritage Centre, and its rock art is symbolic of the prehistoric era. The Caves are evident to Human Life, and the paintings and ancient artifacts are of great historical significance. After exploring this magnificent natural exhibit, you will return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day3:
After breakfast at the hotel, today you will be heading towards Sanchi. Sanchi will be at a 90 km distance from Bhimbetka. With a long journey for about 2.5 hours, you will reach and check-in to the hotel immediately. This destination is top-rated all over India and is also a World Heritage Site of UNESCO. It is the finest specimen of Buddhist Architecture in India which is made up of stones and monolithic pillars. You will witness the extraordinary Sanchi Stupas, which are the oldest and one of the most important monuments that provide us with evidence of spectacular Culture and Heritage. It was initially commissioned by Ashoka, the great Emperor, and was a stone structure built encompassing the relics of Buddha. After some refreshments, you will start exploring the main attractions of this place. You will begin with the Sanchi Stupas and then move on to Sanchi Stupa 2, yet another wonderful Buddhist complex is located downhill towards the west. Next will be the striking Udaygiri Caves near Bhubaneshwar and are a blend of natural and artificial architecture. These caves are religious and historical treasures and are quite popular among tourists. We will then visit the Eastern Gateway, which is of significance as it depicts the tale of Buddha leaving for his enlightenment. Our last stop will be at Sanchi Museum that relishes the well preserved natural objects and artifacts. With an impressive day reliving ancient history, you will return to the hotel to relax. In the evening, you can spend your time shopping at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay at Sanchi.
Day4:
As your trip comes to an end, you will check-out from the hotel soon after breakfast. With memories to cherish forever, you will proceed to Bhopal with a 50Km ride for 1.5 hours and prepare to return home.
